Lesley Robb, BDes, MA
Founder
Lesley Robb’s career spans over 18 years as a sustainability strategist and brand consultant. She specializes in holistic sustainability strategies, brand design and development and ethical communications for the travel and tourism sectors. Throughout her journey, she has worked at agencies and in-house with clients ranging from small businesses to global brands, including G Adventures, Discovery Adventures by Discovery Channel, WestJet, and Hyatt.
Discovering a niche in tourism inspired Lesley to found her agency, Swell Impact, which became a Certified B Corporation in 2024. Having worked with clients worldwide and in Atlantic Canada, she is proud to live and operate in Halifax, where she collaborates with businesses and organizations to promote local and regional tourism. Swell Impact is an official provider of Tourism Nova Scotia and Digital Nova Scotia’s Digital Assistance for Tourism programs. Lesley is also the Eastern and Atlantic Canada Representative for Green Destinations.
Staying true to her love for travel, Lesley has worked with clients including Discover Halifax, Akwesasne Travel, East of 80 Travel, Cape Race Newfoundland, UnTours and UnTours Foundation, UnCruise Adventures, Quark Expeditions, Planeterra Foundation, The Travel Corporation, Sustainable Travel International, The June Motel, Wendy Perrin Travel of Condé Nast Travel and many more.
Upon completion of an M.A. in Sustainability Studies from Trent University, she brings a wealth of interdisciplinary knowledge to Swell Impact and all collaborative projects, where she combines her skills in sustainability, communications, entrepreneurship, travel and tourism to help leaders re-imagine their brands and destinations as a force for good. She takes pride in shaping holistic and sustainability strategies, engaging brand stories, and ethical communications that centre people, places, culture and a positive vision for the future.
A lifelong adventurer and learner, Lesley lives like a traveller no matter where she lands—that means stepping lightly with respect and gratitude and acknowledging her privilege as a guest in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. She strives to understand and honour their teachings daily.
